Chonky Boys: The Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches that Scream Summer!

Image
Featuring my thick and nuggy Chonky Boy Chocolate Chip Cookies, these ice cream sandwiches are the stuff that summer dreams are made of.  If you've ever had the Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich at Disneyland , you are going to LOVE these!  These big and bold chocolate chip cookies are based on a recipe from my culinary school studies at Auguste Escoffier, but with a few modifications to give them that Jennuine touch.  They make the perfectas book for a fat slice of real vanilla bean ice cream.  And those mini chips?  You just gotta have that extra cronch! Thank goodness this recipe only makes 8 sandwiches, otherwise I would be eating them for breakfast lunch and dinner.  This way, my big family can help save me from my inner child diet-saboteur.   Print With Image Without Image Chonky Boy Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches Yield: 8 Author: Jenn Erickson Loaded with chocolate chips and buttery, brown-sugary vanilla flavor, these mall-sized cookies form a perfect partnership with a

BACK-TO-SCHOOL GIVEAWAY -- Adorable Egg & Sushi Rice Molds

I hope you've enjoyed the past two weeks of BACK-TO-SCHOOL features at Rook No. 17.  Yesterday, I introduced the concept of the LUNCH LAUNCH PARTY -- like a cookie-exchange, but with healthy foods geared toward a child's lunchbox.

I love using these molds and this
sweet little Kawaii bunny is one of my favorites!
Speaking of school lunches, hard-boiled eggs make a great high-protein snack to pack in your child's lunchbox. Have you seen these adorable Egg/Sushi Molds making their way around the blogosphere? These little plastic molds easily transform a simple hard-boiled egg or sushi-rice ball in to a charming treat. Simply boil your eggs, peel while still hot, and enclose inside the molds. Chill, then serve!

An egg shaped as a car --
PRICELESS!
WholePort has generously offered to give TWO lucky Rook No. 17 followers a set of molds of their choice.  If you're a crafter or baker, you'll want to check out WholePort. They have an incredible selection of craft, sewing, art and baking supplies at terrific prices.
