Chonky Boys: The Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches that Scream Summer!

Image
Featuring my thick and nuggy Chonky Boy Chocolate Chip Cookies, these ice cream sandwiches are the stuff that summer dreams are made of.  If you've ever had the Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich at Disneyland , you are going to LOVE these!  These big and bold chocolate chip cookies are based on a recipe from my culinary school studies at Auguste Escoffier, but with a few modifications to give them that Jennuine touch.  They make the perfectas book for a fat slice of real vanilla bean ice cream.  And those mini chips?  You just gotta have that extra cronch! Thank goodness this recipe only makes 8 sandwiches, otherwise I would be eating them for breakfast lunch and dinner.  This way, my big family can help save me from my inner child diet-saboteur.   Print With Image Without Image Chonky Boy Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches Yield: 8 Author: Jenn Erickson Loaded with chocolate chips and buttery, brown-sugary vanilla flavor, these mall-sized cookies form a perfect partnership with a

This little party continues to grow ~ roots digging deeper, vines meandering a reaching further ~ THANK YOU!

As this community garden of creativity and inspiration continues to grow, I must find new ways to foster and care for it.  I enjoy visiting each link that is shared, but realize that the party has grown to such an extent that if I am to continue to also comment on every post I visit, I may not resurface for days.  So, to adapt, yet still  nurture the personal and genuine quality that is the hallmark of "A Little Birdie Told Me...", here's what I'm prepared to do:

I will continue to visit everyone's links.  The weekly features, as well as the Facebook spotlights will continue as well.   If you've left a comment after linking-up I will both visit and comment back on your post.  Sound fair?  Hope so.

And now, as promised, the features...

Just 4 SIMPLE GUIDELINES

1)  FOLLOW Rook No. 17.  Seeing the friendly faces of my guests on the sidebar makes all the work that goes in to hosting a "party" worthwhile!

2)  LINK-UP -- Link-up the URL of a specific post -- craft, recipe, DIY project, or anything else you'd like to show-off.  This is not  a place to advertise merchandise you are selling.  If you're interested in promoting your business with Rook No. 17, please visit the "Advertising" section.

3)  POST THE BUTTON OR A LINK-- Grab the code for the button (below) and paste it into your sidebar or the body of your post.

4)  VISIT ONE other link --  Isn't it great, when you're "discovered" by a new fan as a result of linking up to a party?  Pay it forward and make someone's day!
